Text: Troops neutralise Boko Haram fighter in Borno ambush operation By Zagazola Makama Troops of Joint Task Force North East (Operation Hadin Kai) have neutralised a suspected Boko Haram fighter during an ambush operation in Borno. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out at about 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 8 along a suspected terrorist movement corridor in the Timbuktu Triangle area. The source said the ambush team was lying in wait ahead of own Bravo Company when it intercepted and engaged members of the Boko Haram terrorists. “On sighting the troops, the terrorists fled in disarray in multiple directions. During immediate exploitation of the area, one ISWAP fighter was discovered neutralised,” the source said. More at the link |
