[Regnum] The court announced the testimony of a secret witness in the criminal case regarding the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
A witness testified that a Turkish terrorist handler contacted Shamsiddin Fariduni (an individual listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) and referred him to Alisher Kasimov, a native of Kyrgyzstan, as someone who would rent him an apartment in the Moscow region. Four of the terrorists involved in the attack subsequently lived in this apartment before the Crocus attack.
"According to the witness, he learned this information personally from Fariduni himself," TASS quotes the trial participant as saying.
The terrorist attack at the Crocus Theater in Krasnogorsk occurred on March 22, 2024. Four terrorists stormed the building, where a concert by the band Piknik was scheduled to take place, opened fire on unarmed people, and started a fire. The gunmen then left the building and fled in a car. They were detained in the Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine. During interrogation, the perpetrators admitted that the attack on Crocus was organized by Ukrainian intelligence services.
