ISCAP kills 21 "fighting" Christians in northeast DRC, this new designation, as I reported a few months ago, comes as more Christian villages enter a jizyah treaty with IS, and become "friendly" or "dhimmi" Christians who are protected by the so-called Caliphate.

For a given value of protected that is perhaps more preyed upon than praying.

This designation was also adopted then by ISWAP and IS-Mozambique in recent months, likely indicating that both are following ISCAP in extending their "jizyah programme", we can notice that attacks on Christians by IS-Mozambique have significant decreased as the groups focuses on Rwandan and Mozambican military targets and offer protecting to Christian civilians in exchange of the jizyah tax.

Attacks against Congolese Christians however continue in full force against non-compliant villages.
