[Korrespondent] More than a third of the fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsky direction. There, the Russians are trying to advance in the areas of seven settlements.
Since the beginning of the current day, 56 combat clashes between the Ukrainian army and Russian invaders have taken place at the front. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational summary on Thursday, February 5.
Thus, in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy made one offensive attempt.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked twice in the Vovchansk area.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is trying to advance towards Kupyansk. The fighting is currently ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled six attacks by the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Drobysheve, Zarichne and towards Stavki, Dibrova. One clash is still ongoing.
On the Slavyansk direction, the Russians twice tried to advance towards Zakitne.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the invaders carried out 12 offensive actions near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, Kleban-Byk and towards Kostyantynivka, Ivano-Pol, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka. Three attacks are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the invaders carried out 21 assaults near the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnograd, Kotlyne, Udachne, Filiya and towards Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka, and Novy Donbas. The defense forces have already repelled 15 attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the aggressors attacked twice in the Zlagoda area and towards Oleksandrograd. One clash is currently ongoing.
In the Hulyaipil direction, nine attacks by the occupiers were repelled in the areas of Hulyaipil, Myrne and towards Dobropil, Zaliznychne, and Pryluk. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Dnieper direction, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack.
The enemy has not yet carried out offensive operations in the Kramatorsk and Orikhiv directions.
Recall that in the 24 hours of February 4, 133 clashes took place on the front. At the same time, Russia lost almost 800 soldiers killed and wounded. Since the beginning of the great war, Russian losses are approaching 1.3 million people.'
