CENTCOM said in a statement that strikes conducted between January 27 and February 2 destroyed "an ISIS communication site, critical logistics node, and weapons storage facilities with 50 precision munitions."
"Striking these targets demonstrates our continued focus and resolve for preventing an ISIS resurgence in Syria," Admiral Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander. "Operating in coordination with coalition and partner forces to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS makes America, the region and the world safer."
The attacks were the latest in a series of strikes on ISIS targets following a December 13 ambush by a lone ISIS fighter in Palmyra, central Syria that killed two US troops and an American translator.
CENTCOM reported that operations carried out since December had killed or captured more than 50 ISIS fighters, including Bilal Hasan al-Jasim, a "terrorist leader" who CENTCOM said "was directly connected with the ISIS gunman responsible for the December 13 attack."
Fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and unmanned aircraft were used in five strikes conducted over the last week, CENTCOM said.
