Among the files was a statement to the FBI made by a confidential source who claimed that Epstein was a wealth manager for Russian leader Vladimir Putin and former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.

The FBI source also claimed that Epstein 'had dirt on other people' and made his money from 'charging his clients fees to hide their money offshore.'

The cache includes an email claiming Bill Gates asked one of Epstein's advisers to provide medicine to treat sexually transmitted diseases due to 'sex with Russian girls' - something he has dismissed as 'completely false'.
