Text: Bandit camps force mass displacement in Mariga, Niger By Zagazola Makama Residents of several communities in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State have fled their homes following reports that armed bandits are camped in the area, sources told Zagazola Credible security sources said that as of about 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 29, bandits had established bases in Kangi, Masabu, and Gulbin Boka villages. The assailants have reportedly kidnapped an unspecified number of people from surrounding communities after failing to locate cattle for rustling.
