[Regnum] The latest Zubr systems, designed to defend against drones and loitering munitions, have been delivered to the Russian military for the first time. This was announced by the Rostec state corporation on January 28.
The Zubr system was developed by specialists from the High-Precision Systems holding company. It provides close-in coverage of critical infrastructure, detecting both large and small aerial targets. The system automatically tracks any detected drone and then destroys it.
"The operator only has to make a decision and give the command to engage. During testing, the system demonstrated high effectiveness against small and high-speed targets," noted Bekkhan Ozdoyev, Industrial Director of Rostec's Armaments Cluster and member of the Bureau of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia.
The system consists of four modules, a control center, and a radar station. The Zubrs have already begun duty to protect infrastructure facilities, the state corporation added.
Previously, the High Precision Systems holding company developed the "Mnogotochie" (Multi-Point) multi-bullet cartridge, designed to engage drones with small arms. Each such cartridge splits into three bullets in flight, improving the accuracy of fire and increasing the likelihood of hitting the target. The developers recognized that miniature drones pose one of the main threats to military personnel today.
In November 2025, specialists from RosEl Holding, a Rostec subsidiary, completed the development of the compact Serp-P6 module for anti-drone systems. It can be installed on complex engineering structures, including bridges.
