Over the past week, the Russian occupation army has captured 26.58 sq km of Ukrainian territory. This is two and a half times less than the indicators of the week before last, when the enemy occupied 66.72 sq km, Interfax-Ukraine reported on Monday, January 26, based on the results of an analysis of maps by the DeepState analytical project.
"Last week, the enemy maintained the pace of advance in the Pokrovsky and Dobropol directions in the northwestern Donetsk region, capturing 6.42 sq km there (the week before last it was 6.92 sq km) and capturing 2.49 sq km in the Volchansky direction in the Kharkiv region, where there was no advance the week before last," the report says.
It is claimed that the enemy's advance in the Hulyaipil direction in Zaporizhia region and in the Chasovoyarsk, Kostyantynivka and Siversk directions in the east and north of Donetsk region has slowed significantly - to 6.97 sq km and 10.71 sq km per week, respectively.
At the same time, the enemy's advance in the Zaporizhia and Lyman directions completely stopped last week. It has not resumed in other directions either.
At the same time, the area of ​​the "gray zone" has increased by 52.89 sq km in the past week, while the week before last it has increased by 4.67 sq km.
Thus, last week the occupiers increased the area of ​​control by an average of 3.8 sq. km per day, and the "gray zone" increased by an average of 7.6 sq. km per day.
