[Regnum] Roscosmos has released a photo of a snow cyclone that will hit Moscow in the coming days. Satellites have captured the cyclone's appearance.
"A snow cyclone approached Moscow on January 26. The Russian Hydrometeorological Center issued an orange weather alert, which will remain in effect until January 29," Roscosmos reported on its Telegram channel.
Experts explained that a photo of a snow cyclone approaching Moscow was obtained using satellite imagery from the Elektro-L and Arktika-M series.
Due to the impending snowfall, Moscow's emergency services are operating on high alert, constantly monitoring the condition of Moscow's road network.
On January 24, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that the previous night in Moscow was the coldest since the beginning of winter, with the air temperature at the VDNKh weather station dropping to minus 17.3 degrees Celsius.
