Text: Saudi-backed National Shield Forces (NSF) assumed control on Sunday of the Kharkhir border area with Saudi Arabia, including the military camp, residential zone, and associated checkpoints, following a handover from the Emergency Forces’ Third Brigade @alfrqt7357. The transfer was carried out in the presence of senior military commanders as part of a broader security plan aimed at enhancing readiness, securing the border, reinforcing stability in frontier areas, and strengthening coordination with relevant authorities to combat smuggling. The Kharkhir site is located approximately 150 kilometers southeast of Umm Al-Melh @MOISaudiArabia Border Guards Airport, which includes a @modgovksa drone base, underscoring the area’s strategic importance along the Yemen–Saudi border.
