[Korrespondent] Two-thirds of Russian attacks are concentrated in the Pokrovska and Kostyantynivka areas. Most of the assaults have already been choked off.
Since the beginning of the current day and as of 16:00, 59 battles between the Ukrainian army and the Russian invaders have taken place on the front, which is significantly less than yesterday's figure for this time. The enemy has suspended attacks in six main directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational summary on Friday, January 23.
Thus, five battles took place in the South Slobozhansky direction. The enemy attacked in the areas of Prylipka and Vovchanskiye Khutory and towards the settlements of Nesterne and Sonino. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army carried out six attacks near the settlements of Novoselivka, Yampil and towards the settlements of Lyman, Stavky, and Dibrova. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, our defenders repelled 22 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka and in the direction of Illinivka, Stepanivka. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the invaders made 22 attempts to push our soldiers from the occupied positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Sukhetske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and towards the settlements of Shevchenko, Novopavlivka. Clashes are currently ongoing in some locations.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, our defenders stopped three assaults in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrovgrad, Zlagoda, and in the direction of Dobropillya.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the aggressors tried 11 times to advance on the positions of our troops in the areas of Solodke, Hulyaipil and in the direction of Svyatopetrivka, Zelenye, and Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repel the enemy's attack towards Pavlovka.
At the same time, the occupiers have not yet carried out offensive operations in the North-Slobozhansk, Kursk, Kupyansk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Dnieper directions.
Recall that in the 24 hours of January 21, Russia lost almost 1,300 soldiers killed and wounded. The total number of losses of the aggressor country is approaching 1.3 million people.
