[Regnum] A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Kamchatka. The Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported this on January 22.

The distance from the earthquake's epicenter to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was 143 km.
On January 10, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake was recorded in Kamchatka. The epicenter of the tremors was located 94 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 47.5 km.
