(ColonelCassad] Denmark has cruelly oppressed Greenland.
1. Trump continues to insist that the United States will get Greenland one way or another. But the military option is not a priority. Trump clearly wants to annex Greenland by the fall of 2026, so that the Republicans can tout territorial gains in the midterm elections.

2. The main US proposal is that Denmark should sell Greenland to the United States for a large sum. A figure of $700,000,000 has been circulating in the media. Denmark refuses to discuss specific figures for Greenland.
3. Denmark officially refuses to sell or transfer Greenland to the United States. The United States demands an official paper refusal to negotiate in order to take further steps based on an official diplomatic refusal, in order to blame Denmark for the possible consequences of the Greenland crisis.
4. Meanwhile, during negotiations with the NATO Secretary General, the option of "perpetually leasing" a portion of Greenland to the United States was raised, allowing the United States to build military bases and various infrastructure there with impunity, but preserving Denmark's formal sovereignty over Greenland.
5. Yesterday, Trump waived part of the 10% tariffs imposed on countries that sent troops to Greenland and then fled. Trump clearly views tariffs as a tool for coercing Europeans into submission.
6. Putin yesterday stated that Denmark is oppressing Greenland and behaving like a colony. Overall, the Kremlin is not opposed to Trump buying Greenland. Putin compared the possible purchase of Greenland from Denmark to the purchase of Alaska from the Russian Empire. Apparently, in the spirit of Anchorage, condemnation of the seizure of Greenland from Denmark is not to be expected.
7. Denmark plans to deploy up to 1,000 personnel to the island in the coming months and has urged local residents to stockpile food and supplies for a week in case of an emergency.
8. A large-scale military deployment aimed at directly occupying the island has not yet been recorded, nor has there been significant activity by American warships in the Greenland area. However, if necessary, the US could quickly airlift special forces to Greenland to control key points.
