Text: #ALERT: Al-Shabaab Forces Drivers onto Roads Under Their Control After Cutting Key Coastal Route Between Cadale, Ceeldheer, and Mogadishu According to minibus drivers, Al-Shabaab has directed vehicles to use inland routes passing through Raaga Ceelle, Xaaji Cali, Masjid Cali Gaduud, Nuur Dugle, and Ruun Nirgood—all areas under militant control—to reach the towns of Cadale and Ceeldheer. Vehicles travelling between Mogadishu and central regions are reportedly instructed to follow these corridors to bypass sections of the main highway that are blocked or mined. The militants have reportedly prohibited the use of coastal roads that normally connect Cadale and Ceeldheer to Mogadishu. |
