[Korrespondent] More than half of the Russian assaults were carried out in the Pokrovsk and Gulyaipol areas, operational data shows.
Since the beginning of the current day, 74 combat clashes have occurred on the front in eight directions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational summary on Wednesday, January 21.
Thus, in the South Slobozhansky direction, there were six attacks by Russian occupiers near Dvorichansky and towards Izbitsky, Grafsky, and Kruhly. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy tried to break through the defenses seven times towards the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Krylivka, and Boguslavka. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders carried out six attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Drobysheve, Yampil and towards Lyman and Novosergiivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, an assault was repelled in the Stupochok area.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out five assaults in the Pleshchiivka area and towards Kostyantynivka and Ivano-Frankivsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders carried out 26 assaults near the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and towards Sergiyevka and Novopidhorodne. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy tried to break through in the areas of the settlements of Zlagoda, Yehorivka and towards Novy Zaporizhzhia. The defense forces repelled three assaults.
In the Hulyaipil direction, our defenders repelled 19 attacks by the occupiers in the Hulyaipil area and towards Dobropil and Varvarivka.
No clashes have been recorded in the North-Slobozhansky, Kursk, Slavyansky, Orikhivsky and Prydniprovsky directions yet.
Recall that in the 24 hours of January 20, Russia lost almost 1,200 soldiers killed and wounded. The total number of losses of the aggressor country is approaching 1.3 million people.
