[Korrespondent] The Russians are most actively trying to advance in the Pokrovsk area. There, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already repelled more than 20 assaults.
Since the beginning of the current day, 61 combat clashes have occurred on the front in 10 main directions. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational summary on Tuesday, January 20.
Thus, in the South Slobozhansk direction, there were seven attacks by Russian aggressors in the Vovchansk area and towards the settlements of Izbitske, Grafske, Krugle, Nesterne, and Chuhunivka. Four clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy twice tried to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine towards Peshchane and Petropavlivka. One clash is ongoing.
In the Lymansky direction, the invaders attacked three times in the direction of Tverdokhlibovye and Olhivka.
In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy twice attacked the positions of our defenders in the Dronivka area. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our units repelled one attack in the direction of Bondarne.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 10 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Predtechyne, Ivanopillya, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka and towards Illinivka, Stepanivka, Berestka, Sofiivka. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders attacked 24 times near the settlements of Rodynske, Chervonyi Liman, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya, Dachne in the direction of Novopavlivka. Two clashes are ongoing.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy once tried to break through the defenses of our defenders in the direction of Novy Zaporizhzhia.
In the Hulyaipil direction, our defenders repelled 9 attacks in the Hulyaipil area and in the Dobropil and Zeleny directions.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian occupiers twice attacked the positions of our defenders in the Stepnohirsk and Primorsk regions.
No clashes have been recorded in the North-Slobozhansky, Kursk, and Dnieper directions at this time.
As a reminder, Russia lost over 1,100 soldiers killed and wounded in the 24 hours of January 19. The total number of Russian casualties is approaching 1.3 million people.
