[Regnum] A Russian tank survived strikes by 43 Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) drones. This was reported on January 19 by a battalion commander with the call sign " Svat.
A soldier told KP.RU that a Russian tank had struck a mine and was unable to move due to a severed track. The crew evacuated the damaged vehicle, after which Ukrainian drones attempted to destroy it. A few days later, the tank was transported to the rear and repaired, after which it returned to the battle zone.
Swat attributed the combat vehicle's survivability to its additional armor. Such tanks are nicknamed "porcupines" on the front lines due to the large number of metal components installed on them, including reinforcement pins.
In late December, a Ukrainian army FPV drone attacked a T-72B3M in the SVO zone. Despite this, the tank's crew continued firing, demonstrating high resistance to enemy drones.
