The newspaper also reported that the country's government has declared a national day of mourning. Official mourning events will last three days.
The Ademuz train accident in Córdoba province in Andalusia occurred on the evening of January 18. The train was traveling from Málaga to Puerta de Atocha station in Madrid. There were 317 people on board.
The last three cars derailed after colliding with the first two cars of the train, which was headed to Huelva. The second train also derailed, with some cars overturning. According to Andalusian Prime Minister Juanma Moreno, one of the derailed cars was severely damaged.
According to the latest data, 73 victims are in hospitals, including 24 in serious condition.
