Taiwan Security Monitor (台灣安全觀測站) @TaiwanMonitor · Jan 11 This week, seven new undersea-cable protections took effect in Taiwan: ships in Taiwan’s territorial waters must keep AIS on and accurately disclose vessel ID and routes, with violators facing fines up to NT$10m and possible confiscation. Intentional damage to undersea cables or other critical infrastructure can draw penalties up to NT$100m and prison.
