[Regnum] An online platform dedicated to the language and culture of the Keto people has launched with the support of the East Siberian Oil and Gas Company (ESOC, part of Rosneft). The project aims to preserve the unique linguistic heritage of this ancient indigenous people of the North.
The digital resource "Akta Daskavet" ("Let's Talk Well") includes a Ket language audio library, an online library, and a Russian-Ket online translator containing approximately 4,000 words. The platform is publicly available and intended for researchers, educators, and anyone interested.
The Ket language is of particular value to global linguistics as the only living representative of the Yeniseian language family. The platform's materials will also be used in training future teachers in Evenkia.
Previously, other projects were implemented within the framework of the VSNK grant program, including the publication of textbooks on the Keto language and an Evenki-Russian dictionary.
