Analysis: A Narrowing Window for the SDF in Northern and Eastern Syria
It has become increasingly likely—bordering on privately confirmed—that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are approaching a decisive inflection point.
Multiple private channels indicate that if the SDF fails to present clear, realistic, and actionable steps toward integration within the next few days, a military operation will be launched to seize Tishrin Dam and the entire strip extending from Deir Hafer to Tabqa.
Should this operation proceed, the SDF would then be granted a temporary and final period to reassess its position regarding integration. Until that point, the strategic balance would shift decisively.
