[Regnum] Roscosmos released an animated video of Cyclone Frances approaching Moscow. The video was posted on January 9 on the state corporation's official Telegram channel.
Cyclone Frances, which brought unusually heavy snowfall to Moscow and the Moscow region, is shown in action as seen from space. Roscosmos satellites recorded the cyclone's passage over Moscow on January 8 and 9.
The video is made up of images from multi-zone scanning devices of the Elektro-L and Arktika-M series satellites.
Roscosmos previously released a satellite image of a cyclone that brought unusually heavy snowfall to Moscow. The accompanying commentary explained that the cyclone could cause more than half of the monthly precipitation in the capital.
