[RIA] Russian forces used Oreshnik missiles in a massive strike against critical targets in Ukraine in response to the attack on Vladimir Putin's residence, the Defense Ministry reported.
"A massive strike was launched using long-range, land- and sea-based precision weapons, including the Oreshnik medium-range mobile ground-based missile system, as well as strike drones, against critical targets on Ukrainian territory," the statement reads.
Russian forces also destroyed drone manufacturing facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to raid the Russian presidential residence, as well as energy infrastructure supporting the enemy's military-industrial complex. All attack objectives were achieved, the department noted.
"Any terrorist actions by the criminal Ukrainian regime will continue to be met with a response," the ministry emphasized.
On Friday night, media reported a series of explosions in Kyiv and Lviv. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, critical infrastructure in the city has been damaged. Power outages are also being experienced in some areas.
