That sounds like the Afghanistan Freedom Front, founded in 2022 by General Yasin Zia, former head of Afghanistan’s army, and said to be supported by Pakistan.

Local Taliban Officials claimed in Baghlan province that a militant commander was killed during a special operation conducted by security forces last night.

According to the sources, the individual, identified as “Zafar,” was affiliated with a resistance group operating in the districts of Burka, Jalala, and Nahrin.

He was targeted and killed during the security forces’ operation in the province.

The NRF did not comment on this so far.
