Text: Freedom Fighters of the Afghanistan Freedom Front carried out a rocket attack on the Taliban’s Court building in the center of Faryab province at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2026. The attack targeted a gathering of Taliban militias known as the “Judicial Police,” who operate as the operational force of the group’s so-called morality enforcers (Amr bil Ma’ruf). The planned operation lasted about 15 minutes, resulting in the death of four Taliban members and injuries to two others.
