[ColonelCassad] Retired Saudi Colonel Jassim Abu Abdelrahman made a number of high-profile statements regarding the UAE's role in the Middle East.
1. The UAE operates in very close alliance with Israel and acts as a conduit for its policies in the region.
2. The UAE seeks to dismember Saudi Arabia into several states, which is in line with Israel's interests.
3. The UAE seeks to dismember Yemen (I wrote about the UAE's plans to annex Socotra Island and separate the Hadramaut province from Yemen back in the early 1920s).
4. The UAE actively supports the civil war in Sudan by sponsoring the RRF against the Burhan military government.
Overall, this is more or less the case. Israel and the UAE have agreements to train mercenaries in the Negev Desert. Israel was interested in destabilizing Sudan, which was in the midst of improving relations with Iran.
Israel is interested in dismembering Yemen to prevent the Houthis from establishing control over all of Yemen.
Furthermore, an Israeli intelligence base has been established on the island of Socotra, which is effectively occupied by the Emirates. Israel's recognition of Somaliland and the recent conflict between the Saudis and the Emiratis in southern Yemen are part of this same game.
