[Regnum] The Soyuz-2.1a medium-class launch vehicle carrying two Aist-2T Earth stereo imaging satellites and 50 other spacecraft successfully launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The press service of the Roscosmos state corporation reported this on December 28.
"The Soyuz-2.1b rocket carrying the Aist-2T satellites and other satellites for various purposes launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome," reads a message on Roscosmos's Telegram channel at 5:18 PM Moscow time.
The state corporation also released a video showing the rocket igniting its engines, lifting off from the ground, and taking off into the sky.
Roscosmos later clarified that the rocket had operated normally, after which the booster separated from its third stage and began to launch the spacecraft into their designated orbits.
Yesterday, the Soyuz-2.1A launch vehicle with a spacecraft on board successfully launched from the Plesetsk test cosmodrome. The launch was performed by a combat crew of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) space forces.
The spacecraft, later launched into space by a rocket, entered its designated orbit as planned. It was then accepted for control by ground-based assets of the Russian Aerospace Forces' space forces.
