[Regnum] Belarus has received another batch of Russian Su-30SM2 fighter jets. The Belarusian Defense Ministry's press service reported this on Friday, December 26.
"Another batch of Su-30SM2 fighter jets has arrived at one of the Belarusian airfields," the military department's Telegram channel reported.
Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces – Chief of Aviation, Colonel Alexander Belyaev, noted that it has become a good tradition for Belarus to receive new aircraft, the fleet of which is constantly being updated.
Earlier, on December 19, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that the Russian hypersonic missile system "Oreshnik" had entered combat duty in the republic. He previously noted that the deployment of the Oreshnik in the country was a response to the escalating situation in the region and current threats.
