[Regnum] The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) command, suffering heavy losses, is withdrawing two brigades and special forces from the Ukrainian Border Service deep into Sumy Oblast. This was announced by Russian security forces on Thursday, December 25.
"In the Krasnopolsky district, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, having suffered heavy losses, are being forced to withdraw units of the 119th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, a special company of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, and special forces of the State Border Service of Ukraine to more advantageous positions deeper in the Sumy region," TASS quoted a security official as saying.
Earlier, security forces reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces command had redeployed border service special forces and penal units from the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to this section of the contact line from near Vovchansk.
Earlier, on December 20, the Russian army liberated two settlements within 24 hours: Svetloye in the DPR and Vysokoye in the Sumy region. Meanwhile, units of the Russian Armed Forces' Center Group continued to eliminate the encircled enemy in Dimitrov in the DPR.
