[Regnum] Almost the entire 155th Separate Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) deserted on one section of the front. A source in the Russian security forces told reporters on December 25.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have quite a few units that have failed to live up to expectations; some have even deserted almost entirely, such as the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade," a security official told RIA Novosti.
He added that, despite the current situation in the troops, the Ukrainian command continues to “breed non-viable organisms.”
Earlier, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, stated that up to 30,000 service members leave the Ukrainian Armed Forces every month without permission, indicating widespread desertion. He added that more than 160,000 criminal cases have already been opened against Ukrainian Armed Forces service members who have left their units without permission.
