| Sudanese Air Force targets Colombian mercenaries’ camp at Nyala Airport |

Text: As a result of the Sudanese Air Force targeting the Colombian mercenaries’ camp at Nyala Airport, a fire erupted that is considered the largest since the outbreak of the war at the airport. The fire spread near the Colombian mercenaries’ tents and extended from the airport perimeter fence to the runway, indicating that the site was likely evacuated temporarily until the fire was brought under control. The Sudanese Air Force had previously carried out dozens of airstrikes on Nyala Airport, rendering it completely out of service. Despite this, the Rapid Support Forces militia continues its attempts to reactivate the airport for the launch of drones or for transporting Colombian mercenaries and returning them to the breakaway region of Somaliland.
