Text: #ALERT: Al-Shabaab Advances Toward the coastal town of Warsheikh as Fighting Intensifies in Jabad-Godane and Allanleey in the Middle Shabelle Region Reports from Somalia’s Middle Shabelle region indicate that Al-Shabaab militants are advancing toward the coastal town of Warsheikh. The militants are reportedly engaged in heavy fighting with government forces in the areas of Jabad-Godane and Allanleey, both of which fall under the administration of Warsheikh District. Four days ago, Al-Shabaab militants seized control of the town of Nuurdugle, heightening concerns over their expanding presence and growing security threats in the region. Sources further report that, for the first time, a significant number of Al-Shabaab militants have reached the outskirts of Warsheikh District in Middle Shabelle. Additionally, explosions were reported earlier today targeting units of the Federal Government forces as they were traveling through villages under the jurisdiction of Warsheikh.
