[Regnum] Russia expects compliance with the agreements reached in Alaska regarding the Ukrainian settlement. This was announced by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov on December 21.
"So that the Americans and everyone else comply with the agreements that were reached, in particular, in Anchorage," Ushakov told reporters.
Furthermore, the presidential aide emphasized that the Russian side also expects other agreements to be implemented as part of negotiations with the United States.
On December 21, Yuri Pilipson, Director of the Second European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Russia and the United States are continuing negotiations to resolve the Ukrainian conflict in the spirit of the understanding reached at the Alaska summit. Pilipson noted that Europe is obsessed with a "big war" and is attempting to hinder the peace process by pushing the Ukrainian leadership to continue hostilities.
On December 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that President Vladimir Putin and White House Special Envoy Steven Witkoff had resolved all misunderstandings regarding the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine during their latest meeting, which arose due to the pause following the Alaska summit. Lavrov noted that Russia and the United States had agreed to continue their work, and Moscow had conveyed to Washington proposals for collective security guarantees for Ukraine.
