At least the planes are grounded, instead of being available for the Taliban to drop barrel bombs on their victims’ heads and homes.
The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has revealed that billions of dollars from U.S. reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan were wasted.

Former SIGAR head John Sopko stated that the United States spent $144 billion on Afghanistan's reconstruction over 20 years, with $29 billion lost to waste.
