[Regnum] A magnitude 3.1 earthquake was recorded in the Black Sea, 24 kilometers from Sevastopol. This was reported on December 12 by regional governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
He clarified that, according to operational data from the Crimean seismic network, the earthquake had one aftershock.
"According to experts, weak and regular seismicity is normal," Razvozzhaev wrote on his Telegram channel.
The regional governor also urged citizens to trust only official information and noted that, according to Sevastopol's rescue service, no objects in the city were damaged.
It was previously reported that a magnitude 4.1 earthquake was recorded on December 6 in the Lazarevsky District of Sochi. Residents of Lazarevsky and surrounding areas reported mild shaking on social media. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
