Text: The attack on Martyr Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani carried out by ISIS-K was planned from the Mastung area of Balochistan, Pakistan. In a recently released video, new revelations by an important member of ISIS-K have further intensified concerns about the region’s security situation. The video was published by the Al-Mersad media outlet. In it, the individual confesses that ISIS-K was behind the assassination of the martyred former Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, stating that the suicide bomber had been dispatched from clandestine training camps in the Mastung district of Balochistan centers considered to be key ISIS hubs for training and coordination. Reports from Al-Mersad further reveal that several senior ISIS-K leaders have recently been killed by unknown assailants in major Pakistani cities.
