Text: Niger-Uranium: Russian Ship in Lomé, Uranium Convoy Blocked, What We Know! The Russian ship MATROS SHEVCHENKO left the port of Lomé
According to observations, the ship would have reserved its berth at the port to await the arrival of the famous uranium convoy from Niger. The delay of the latter forced it to leave the port once its berthing window had expired. Meanwhile, the uranium convoy itself remains at a standstill. The trucks are stationed at Base 101 in Niamey, with no departures scheduled. Initially, the route was supposed to go through Benin. But with the failure of the coup attempt in Benin against President Talon, the plans have, inevitably, changed. The only remaining route, via Burkina Faso, is now being considered. PS: The trucks that were blocking the Niger-Benin bridge were removed on the eve of the coup attempt, which heightens suspicions of possible involvement by Tiani and the Nigerien junta in this attempt to destabilize Benin. | |
