[Regnum] The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec state corporation) has delivered a new batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was announced by the UAC press service on Wednesday, December 10.
It is specified that the fighter-bombers have completed a full test cycle, were tested in various operating modes, and arrived at their base airfield.
"The Su-34 forms the backbone of Russia's frontline aviation strike force. This combat 'drake' is the best aircraft in its class. Today, it performs critical missions in the Air Defense Zone and demonstrates high efficiency, excellent maneuverability, and combat capabilities," said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy Director General of Rostec State Corporation.
He clarified that this aircraft is in demand among the military, which is why aviation companies are increasing the rate of its production.
The Su-34 can engage ground (surface) and airborne targets, as well as infrastructure protected by air defense systems and located at significant distances from its base. The aircraft is capable of operating under enemy fire and information countermeasures, day and night, in both favorable and adverse weather conditions, and in any geographic theater of operations.
