[Regnum] American journalist and activist Candace Owens has alleged the possible involvement of the US military in the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. She reported this on her social media page on December 9.
"Charlie Kirk was killed in an assassination attempt, and our army was involved," the activist said.
Owens claims she received an email from someone claiming to be a US military officer, containing information that could help solve the case. She promised to release the details and contents of the email later.
A gunman shot Kirk in the neck on September 10, during a speech at the University of Utah. Coincidentally, the activist was speaking about gun violence in the United States at the time of the shooting. Kirk was hospitalized, but his life was lost. On September 16, Utah State Attorney Jeff Gray indicted Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the activist's murder. Gray stated that he would seek the death penalty, and the suspect will be held in the Utah State Prison without bail.
On September 18, Robinson voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement because he feared being shot. Robinson's preliminary hearing and formal charges were postponed until January 2026. Robinson was originally scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on October 30.
