[Korrespondent] The most active fighting continues in the Pokrovsky direction, where Russian invaders are attacking in the areas of eight settlements.
Since the beginning of the current day, 77 combat clashes between the Ukrainian army and the Russian invaders have taken place at the front. The enemy has suspended attacks in four directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational update on Saturday, December 6.
Thus, in the South Slobozhansk direction, five enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Vovchansk, Synelnyky, and towards Izbitsky and Kolodyazny.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers attacked six times in the directions of the settlements of Pishchane and Kolisnykovka. One clash is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army carried out nine attacks near the settlements of Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibovo, Zarichne and in the directions of Novosergiivka, Novy Mir and Stavye. Three combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Slavyansk direction, six attacks were stopped near Yampol, Dronivka, Serebryanka, Siversk, and Fedorivka. Another clash is ongoing.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka and towards the settlements of Stepanivka and Berestok. One combat clash is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian invaders carried out 21 attacks in the directions of Novy Shakhovye, Novopavlivka and in the areas of the settlements of Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Mirnograd, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Molodetske. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy is trying to break through the defenses in the areas of the settlements of Yalta, Ivanivka, Zeleny Gay, Vorone, Rybne and in the direction of Danylovka. Our soldiers have repelled five assaults, two more attacks are ongoing.
In the Hulyaipol direction, seven battles took place in the direction of Hulyaipol.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful attack in the Stepovoye area.
At the same time, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the North Slobozhansk, Kursk, Kramatorsk, and Orikhiv directions.
As a reminder, on December 5, 184 combat clashes took place on the front. The most heated situation remained in the Pokrovsky direction, where more than 50 enemy assaults were repelled. The occupiers also attacked the Konstantinovsky direction 27 times.
Over the past 24 hours, Russia has lost almost 1,200 soldiers killed and wounded. The total number of enemy casualties since the beginning of the war will soon exceed 1.2 million people.
