[Korrespondent] The enemy is actively storming the northern part of the city, but Ukrainian defenders are holding their ground, notes the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian invaders cannot take control of Pokrovsk, so Russia has intensified propaganda and is spreading fake news about the situation in the city. The 7th Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on its Telegram channel.
"The enemy is stuck in urban battles for Pokrovsk and cannot capture the city with the help of weapons. Therefore, the enemy is trying to intensify propaganda and disinformation, manipulating fictions about the alleged "capture of Pokrovsk," the report says.
The situation in the Pokrovska area is still difficult: the enemy is actively storming the northern part of the city. Ukrainian defenders are holding their ground and holding back the enemy's advance. In some areas, the occupiers are trying to operate around logistical routes.
"However, in these zones, the speed of eliminating the enemy is higher than the speed of its movement," the 7th Corps of the DShV added.
The logistics of Ukrainian soldiers remain complicated, but functional. An operation to expand logistics corridors is underway.
Ukrainian defenders, despite intense fighting, managed to conduct several personnel rotations over the past week.
The defense of the Pokrovskaya agglomeration involves the Airborne Assault Troops, assault units, Special Operations Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the National Police.
As we have already written, the Defense Forces continue defensive operations in difficult sections of the front, in particular in Pokrovsk, Vovchansk, and Kupyansk, while the Kremlin's statements about the "capture" of settlements do not correspond to reality.
