[Regnum] High-ranking al-Qaeda (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) commander Munir al-Ahdal has been killed in Yemen's Marib province. A local government source announced this on November 29.
"An American drone carried out an airstrike east of Marib on a motorcycle carrying al-Qaeda military commander Munir al-Ahdal and his companion. Both were killed in the strike," a source told RIA Novosti.
It is noted that al-Ahdal was considered one of the high-ranking field commanders of the terrorist group in Yemen; he and his fighters operated in several provinces of the country.
It was previously reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck the port of Hodeida in Yemen, which is under the control of the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement.
