| Judenfrei: Pro-Palestinian activists hang ‘genocide’ banner from Brandenburg Gate, six detained |

| [IsraelTimes] Berlin police detain six activists who illegally scaled the Brandenburg Gate, an iconic city landmark, to display a banner reading “Never again genocide. Freedom for Palestine” and wave Palestinian flags. Video from the scene shows the activists chanting “Yalla, yalla, intifada.” The pro-Palestinian activists reached the top of the monument using a cherry picker. Police announce this afternoon that 75 officers were deployed, and rescue climbers were utilized to detain the protesters. The Central Council of Jews in Germany sharply condemns the action. “The banner on the Brandenburg Gate, shortly after the commemoration day for Pogrom Night [Kristallnacht], abuses the phrase ‘Never again’ and directs it against the only Jewish state,” the group writes on X. “This action was accompanied by ‘intifada’ calls, which call for worldwide violence against Jews.” Central Council President Josef Schuster says, “The fact that something like this is happening in Germany in 2025 is a perversion of history.”
