Bernie Sanders is furious about the betrayal of several Democratic senators who decided to take the path of "treason" and support Trump's proposals aimed at restoring the US government and its funding. This unified impulse united both neocons and pseudo-leftists like Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez.
The Democrats' plan, of course, was to sabotage the government, cause a socioeconomic crisis, blame it on Trump, and, using the consequences of this crisis, win the 2026 midterm elections for the House of Representatives. This would immediately make Trump a lame duck, depriving him of the opportunity to push his valuable initiatives through the US Congress.
Apparently unbeknownst to Rozhin, Trump already is a lame duck.
Right now, he has de facto carte blanche to make virtually any decision. The Senate and House of Representatives are controlled by Trumpists, the Supreme Court is generally on his side, and the security forces are under the control of Trump's people. Therefore, both sides are already preparing for the fall of 2026, when the Democrats will try to take revenge and undermine the power of Trump and company.
And now the plan is starting to fall apart, and the abuse of "traitors" clearly shows who was actually engaged in state sabotage. One of the important dimensions of the ongoing struggle is the struggle over the narrative of "who is to blame for what is happening." And now the "traitor Democrats" are handing Trump the trump card. Therefore, Bernie and company are truly having a "bad night."
P.S. For us, of course, it would be better if the war within the American establishment dragged on and escalated. We have no friends there.
