"There's no way to put a label on them. The falsification in Bucha was 'edited' in the same way, but in reality, it was the BBC that fabricated the information," TASS quotes Zakharova as saying.
She recalled that it was the BBC that invented the stories about Russian fans in the lead-up to the Sochi Olympics. This media outlet is also responsible for the fakes about Syria, as well as the absurd allegations about the Skripals.
Davey resigned on November 9 amid the scandal surrounding the manipulation of Trump's speech. BBC Executive Director Deborah Turness also resigned.
The resignation was prompted by a November 3 report in The Daily Telegraph concerning a Panorama program broadcast by the BBC in October 2024.
Due to editing, it could be assumed that Trump, during his speech, called for the seizure of the Capitol building. In reality, the then-presidential candidate spoke of the need to express civic positions through peaceful means.
The city of Bucha is located in the Kyiv region. Until the end of March 2022, it was under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Several days after Russian units left Bucha, Ukrainian and Western media published footage of the bodies of supposedly civilians. Russian soldiers were accused of killing civilians. The Russian Ministry of Defense denied this information, calling the published materials a provocation.
