A bit scant on the details, like who and when, and whether the miscreants have been arrested, but it sounds like the Feeding Our Future Covid aid fraud that Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison is entwined with. According to my notes: as of September almost 80 were convicted — mostly but not entirely Somalis/Somali-Americans — with about a billion dollars of fraud thus far identified, and over 200 in queue for their turn in the courtroom. Or, I suppose, it could be an entirely independent fraud — the culture does rather encourage it.
