Jack Fowler: So many churches burned down for nothing. Hanson: I don’t think anybody realizes, and I don’t realize, that everybody talks about DEI, DEI, but it is very pernicious because it does two things. It doesn’t just destroy meritocracy, but it encourages people to use criteria other than empiricism for an agenda that you can do almost anything by a DEI argument. You can say, "I didn’t get the job because of this. The job wasn’t done. I didn’t come to class because of this. The bomb didn’t hit the target because of this. The plane crashed, it wasn’t my fault because of this." It’s like Marxism in the Soviet Union. It really was an ideological shelter for people to flee to who were incompetent. |
