[Korrespondent] The actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forcing the Russians to disperse their forces, making it impossible to concentrate their main efforts in the Pokrovsk area.
Over the past 24 hours, assault units have advanced in certain areas near the Dobropillya salient. Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Telegram on Monday, November 3.
He reported that he continued his work in the Donetsk region, within the area of ​​responsibility of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Troops. The commander heard reports from commanders on the ground on the current situation and urgent needs. Key issues included ensuring logistics security and the actions of assault groups to drive the enemy out of urban areas.
"We're reinforcing our forces with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles. We're increasing pressure on the Dobropolsky salient. We're continuing to liberate and clear territories, which is forcing the enemy to disperse its forces and preventing the concentration of its main efforts in the Pokrovsk area," Syrsky noted.
According to him, over the past 24 hours, assault units in the Dobropolsky salient area have advanced in certain directions. Overall, 188 square kilometers have been liberated during the operation, with another 248.7 square kilometers cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
Earlier on Monday, it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had stopped the expansion of Russian forces in the north of Pokrovsk, and the defense of Myrnohrad had been reinforced with additional forces.
As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, Russia has lost more than 1,160 service members killed and wounded. The total number of Russian casualties since the start of the Great War is approaching 1.2 million.
