[Regnum] Russian military forces are making successful advances in the Krasnoarmeyskaya (Pokrovsky) direction. This was announced on Saturday, November 1, by Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"On the Red Army front... the situation is unfolding in a difficult manner: heavy fighting, urban combat, but nevertheless, we see our units advancing. Of course, the guys are simply heroes," he said on his Telegram channel.
According to Pushilin, Russian Armed Forces troops continue their offensive operations despite difficult weather conditions and counterattacks by the Ukrainian army.
On October 26, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the completion of the operation to block large enemy forces in the Krasnoarmeysko-Dimitrovskoye agglomeration and in Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. The head of state ordered that any possible attempts by the Ukrainian army to break out of the encirclement be prevented.
Later, on November 1, Russian forces successfully intercepted a helicopter landing by a special forces group from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) near Krasnoarmeysk (Ukrainian name: Pokrovsk). All 11 members of the landing group were killed.
The Ministry of Defense also reported that the Russian army is tightening the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the city of Dimitrov. Over the past 24 hours, up to 190 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, five pickup trucks, two mortars, and a field artillery piece
